Entertainment for the 2010 Houghton County Fair will include the many styles of Brandon Styles, impressionist, magician and comedian with one show on Friday and Sunday and two shows on Saturday, and roving with magic for two hours each of those days. The Kenya Safari Acrobats will have three shows daily, with their extreme athletic and balancing stunts. They have been on America's Got Talent. The Megasaurus will be making an appearance during Saturday night's Sick Air fmx motorcycle jumping. There will be three motorcycle jumpers, with backflips! The landing will be dirt instead of the metal landing, which will allow a thrilling show. There will be a demolition derby, local music, horse shows, livestock shows, a tractor pulling contest, horseshoe pitching and the Kivajat Folk Dance Group will perform during Friday's Senior Citizen Day.
In other action, the board decided to increase winter storage rates to $15 per foot for the 2010-2011 season. Check the website for updates!
